Inhale. Exhale. Paint.

Life is hard right now. Really, really hard. You know the struggle, I don’t need to tell you! Bring a cup of tea, a glass of wine or a cocktail! Come chat with other moms and know (by hearing) that you are not alone!

Join me and do some mindful (and mindless) painting! We will repeat shapes and patterns to create a similar rhythm and pattern to meditative breathing. In and out. Our focus will be on the process and journey and not the outcome. You may love what you’ve made at the end, you may hate it - it doesn’t matter. I have found myself painting a lot during these times - creating with my hands is calming and helps my mind breathe.

Intentions for the class:

  • Connect with other moms

  • Create a moment of zen and calm during these challenging mental times

  • Be present while painting - focus on the process and not the outcome

  • Learn the basics of watercolor painting techniques (paint on dry, wet on wet, etc.)

Suggested materials:

  • Watercolor paint

  • Watercolor brush

  • Watercolor paper

  • Cup of water

  • Paper towel or cloth rag

  • Greeting card kit: flat greeting cards + envelopes are available - send your calmness to a loved one!

  • Don't have paints? No worries, bring your markers, colored pencils or a pen! The act of creating is what matters.
