Breathe and paint. Create a meditative painting practice. Connect and build community.
Join us for some mindful (and mindless) painting. Class will begin with a short breathing and movement exercise led by Sam from Sol Ayurveda. Neha from Paint House will then lead us through a mindful meditative watercolor practice. We will repeat shapes and patterns to create a similar rhythm and pattern to meditative breathing. In and out. Our focus will be on the process and journey and not the outcome. You may love what you’ve made at the end, you may hate it - it doesn’t matter. Bring your own blanket and watercolor supplies.
Intentions for each class:
Be present while painting - focus on the process and not the outcome
Create a moment of zen and calm during these challenging mental times
Learn the basics of watercolor painting techniques (paint on dry, wet on wet, etc.)
Build community and connect within this group of creatives
Supplies needed: watercolor paint, watercolor brush, watercolor paper, cup of water
Don’t have paints? No worries - bring your markers, colored pencils or a pen. The act of creating is what matters.
Need supplies? Pre-purchase this watercolor kit separately and receive it on the day of the class
