What a challenging time! Emotionally, physically, mentally. I have found myself painting a lot during these times - creating with my hands is calming and helps my mind breathe.
Join me and new friends to do some mindful (and mindless) painting! Class will begin with a short breathing and movement exercise. We will repeat shapes and patterns to create a similar rhythm and pattern to meditative breathing. In and out.
Our focus will be on the process and journey and not the outcome. You may love what you’ve made at the end, you may hate it - it doesn’t matter. Each class will have a different painting focus/guidance but our intention of mindful meditative painting will remain the same!
Bring a cup of tea, your coffee, and let’s start off the day with creating!
Intentions for each class:
Be present while painting - focus on the process and not the outcome
Create a moment of zen and calm during these challenging mental times
Learn the basics of watercolor painting techniques (paint on dry, wet on wet, etc.)
Build community and connect within this group of creatives
Supplies needed: watercolor paint, watercolor brush, watercolor paper, cup of water
Don’t have paints? No worries - bring your markers, colored pencils or a pen. The act of creating is what matters.
Need supplies? Add on the watercolor kit. Please order at least 5 days in advance to ensure kit arrives on time, prior to class.
